A self-proclaimed UFO expert by the name of Jaime Maussan recently presented two artifacts at a congressional hearing in Mexico, claiming them to be evidence of ancient “non-human” life. His presentation quickly gained viral attention, with some suggesting that these artifacts might be linked to aliens. However, scientists have widely discredited Maussan’s sensational claims.

Despite the skepticism, Mr. Maussan contends that the items were discovered in Peru back in 2017 and are approximately 1,800 years old. Dr. David Spergel, a NASA scientist, responded to the news last week by questioning why the individuals involved had not made their data samples publicly available.

Jose de Jesus Zalce Benitez, introduced at the congress as a military doctor, has collaborated with Mr. Maussan for several years. He conducted laboratory tests on the so-called “bodies” and reported that scans and X-rays indicated no signs of manipulation. According to Dr. Benitez, these artifacts belong to a single skeleton and have not been pieced together from various sources.

It’s worth noting that a previous purported “discovery” by Mr. Maussan and Dr. Benitez was debunked. This earlier finding turned out to be two human mummies that had been manipulated to appear as if they were of alien origin.
