Lawmakers are engaged in a concerted effort to unearth information regarding an alleged covert UFO program. They have formally requested that the intelligence community disclose details concerning programs rumored to recover crashed UFOs and conduct reverse engineering on their technology.

During a pivotal July 26 House Oversight Committee hearing, UFO whistleblower David Grusch alluded to the existence of these programs under oath. The hearing aimed to shed light on decades of suspected government secrecy surrounding UFOs, which are now referred to as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP).

However, Grusch refrained from revealing further information in a public setting due to an ongoing whistleblower reprisal case against him. Subsequently, six members of Congress, including Representatives Tim Burchett, Jared Moskowitz, Anna Paulina Luna, Nancy Mace, Eric Burlison, and Andy Ogles, signed a letter addressed to Inspector General Thomas Monheim on August 21. Their aim was to seek clarity on the matter.

Representative Burchett took to Twitter to elaborate on their actions, stating, “During the UAP hearing, David Grusch testified he could not provide specific details about UAP crash retrieval programs or reverse engineering programs, but said the Intelligence Community Inspector General could. So my colleagues and I wrote to him to ask for details.”

Grusch, during his testimony, asserted that he personally knew colleagues who had sustained injuries while engaged in the reverse engineering of UFO technology. He went on to claim that the government has possessed UFO technology and “biologics” of “non-human origins” since the 1930s, complete with precise knowledge of their storage locations. Grusch maintained that he could only divulge specifics in a classified environment, stating, “I can’t get into the specifics in an open forum but . . . what I personally witnessed myself and my wife was very disturbing.” Grusch, a former U.S. intelligence officer and Air Force veteran, also spoke about the retribution he had faced, which he labeled “administrative terrorism.”

In the aftermath of the congressional hearing, Grusch’s medical records were leaked, seemingly in an attempt to discredit his testimony. These records detailed his struggles with mental health, including PTSD, grief, and depression following his return from Afghanistan. They specifically referenced incidents in 2014 and 2018 when he was transferred to a psychiatric unit and an inpatient program. Journalist Ross Coulthart, who initially reported Grusch’s claims about the secret UFO retrieval program, posted Grusch’s complete statement on Twitter on August 8.

This provoked strong reactions from lawmakers like Burchett, who responded to Coulthart’s tweet by stating, “Trying to discredit a decorated veteran like David Grusch shows the desperation of the group trying to hide the truth. They will fail.” The following day, he issued a scathing tweet, saying, “Tell me who illegally leaked Grusch’s health records and I will bust their a**.”

Grusch was one of three significant figures who testified during the July 26 hearing, alongside decorated military pilots Ryan Graves and David Fravor, both of whom had firsthand encounters with UAPs while in flight.

Fravor, a retired squad leader of the Black Aces with 18 years of service as a Navy pilot, recounted his 2004 encounter with what has become known as the “Tic Tac UFO.” According to Fravor, this object displayed technological superiority far beyond anything available at the time, presently, or for the next decade.

The July 26 hearing also featured the presence of three other key figures in the effort to disclose UFO-related records: investigative journalists George Knapp and Jeremy Corbell, as well as Charles McCullough, the former intelligence community inspector general under President Barack Obama, who represented Grusch in his complaint.

The congressional record of the hearing included letters penned by Knapp and Corbell, both of which were published in their entirety by Fox News Digital in a report.

Following over two hours of testimony during the July 26 hearing, Representative Ogles emphasized that there appears to be a clear national security threat to the United States. This hearing in the House followed bipartisan Senate legislation aimed at declassifying and releasing UFO-related records, bringing together political adversaries like Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Marco Rubio.
